You're My Favorite Song lead stars Heath Jornales, Clifford, Marco Masa, and Caprice Cayetano, recently shared that they feel a deep personal connection to the characters they are portraying in the series.

In an inclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, they revealed that their roles closely mirror who they are in real life, making it much easier to bring authentic emotions to the screen because the characters' distinct personalities genuinely resonate with their own.

According to lead actress Caprice, she found an instant connection with her character, Angel, noting how much they mirror each other in terms of being warm, approachable, and fiercely dedicated to pursuing their life goals.

The Kapuso youth ambient star added that one of the things she admires most about their striking similarities is Angel's admirable blend of wit, intelligence, and overall “cool girl” attitude.

“Dito naman po sa pagiging friendly ni [Angel], ten out of ten, makaka-relate po ako kung gaano po siya ka-helpful and kung gaano niya po kagusto i-chase 'yung dreams niya. Saka po 'yung pagiging astig po niya, hinahangaan ko po 'yun kay Angel at 'yung pagiging matalino po niya sa school,” Caprice said.

Speaking about his own role, Marco Masa explained that he finds himself reflecting Zion's inner strength and ability to stay calm under pressure. He emphasized that the character'spositivity is not only a trait he holds in high regard but also the exact area where he and Zion completely align in real life.

“Siguro para naman po kay Zion, nakaka-relate ako sa part ng pagiging composed niya as a person kasi kahit na binu-bully siya, kahit na marami sinasabi tungkol sa kaniya, nakikita pa rin niya 'yung positivity sa buhay. 'Yun 'yung part na nakaka-relate ako kay Zion,” Marco shared.

Heath Jornales revealed that he and his character, Miguel, are a perfect match when it comes to their love for music. He also noted that Miguel shares his exact same confidence and courage when it comes to performing on stage in front of a big audience.

“Ako naman po kay Miguel; I guess nakaka-relate po ako sa passion niya po sa music at sa pag-perform niya po in front a crowd po. Isa rin po 'yun sa passions ko in real life. Napakamagkatulad po kami ni Miguel. It's nice,” Heath expressed.

Clifford opened up about his role, explaining that he deeply mirrors Calix's persistent nature. He noted that his unwavering commitment to pursuing his own life goals, while simultaneously striving to honor the dreams his parents hold for his future, is the definitive bridge between himself and his character.

“Kay Calix naman po, similar po kami sa part na gusto niyang gawin ang lahat para marinig niya na proud 'yung parents niya sa kanya. Ako po, gusto ko po talagang gawin 'yung mga dreams ko, at the same time, 'yung mga dreams din ng parents ko for me,” said Clifford.
