Are wedding bells ringing for Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff?

By MARY LOUISE LIGUNAS

Food blogger, host and restaurateur Erwan Heussaff admitted that it first wasn’t easy to deal with the public's attention that comes with being the boyfriend of multimedia superstar Anne Curtis.

“In the beginning, it was tough,” he revealed on The Tim Yap Show. He even rejected photo requests from people if they only knew him solely as Anne’s boyfriend.

“If someone comes up to me, ‘Oh can I have a picture with you because you're Anne's boyfriend?’ I'll be like ‘Nope, sorry.’ I kinda just walk away. If you don't know my name or what I do, why are you taking a picture with me?” he posed.

After getting used to it, however, he began not minding the attention anymore as he became present in scenes he only wants to be part of.

“You never see me in big events or anything like that unless it has something to do with me or something that will enrich me or something that I really want to attend, or something I want to attend for Anne. But if it’s regular industry things, I don’t pertain to that,” he said.

Erwan, who owns different restaurants, maintains a food and fitness blog and hosts a cooking show, wants to be recognized for what he does and not for who he’s with.

“I want people to know me for what I do... So that's what I really want to try to focus on and I think I'm getting there 'cause I think people now are starting to recognize me not as Anne's boyfriend but as Erwan Heussaff,” he shared.

Despite establishing their names in separate industries, Erwan and Anne’s relationship appears to be going strong. Is settling down soon part of their plans?

“We’ll see, we’ll see. We’re both busy. We’re both happy with how everything is now,” he quickly answered.
