Rafael Rosell looks back at a special moment with Bianca King

“She’s very approachable, very open about what she’s feeling. We can strategize together. Ang gaan niyang katrabaho,” said Kapuso heartthrob Rafael Rosell, as he described his Maghihintay Pa Rin leading lady, Bianca King after their live chat.

Rafael and Bianca’s chemistry as Kiko and Geneva is very apparent, as a lot of viewers get carried away with their acting. Despite the fact that they are teaming up for the first time, their convincing portrayal of star-crossed, long distance lovers is heartbreaking.

Rafael owes this to his similarities with Bianca. Pretty much like Kiko and Geneva, Rafael and Bianca are working in the Philippines, while their families are based abroad. According to Rafael, “In most ways, we can relate to each other pagdating sa interests namin, pagdating sa pagkain. ‘Yung ugaling pang ibang bansa, nakakrelate kami sa isa’t isa.”

Rafael also talked about his experiences with Bianca while shooting for the drama series’ scenes in Singapore. He shared, “Sa Singapore, naudlot nga eh. We were supposed to spend some time sa coffee shop para magkuwentuhan pero hindi pa nangyayari ‘yun, so sana in the future, ‘di ba?”

Opening up more about his friendship with Bianca, Rafael looked back at a special moment with his leading lady. He recalled, “Kasi may eksena ‘dun na parang nasa loob kami ng tren, tapos e-exit kami nang naka-holding hands. Siyempre, hindi na namin alam kung kailan nag-cut kasi ang daming tao. Inamin ko sa kanya na for a moment there, sa three years kong pagiging single, namiss ko ang may kasamang girlfriend na ka-holding hands.”

Following this revelation, Rafael continued on to praise his leading lady’s admirable qualities. He said, “Si Bianca, super girlfriend material ‘yan, as in sobra. She knows how to cook, she knows how to take care of a man, sobrang swerte ng lalaking makakakuha ng puso niya.”

Given these traits, would he consider going out with Bianca? For Rafael, “If one day, I am able to open my heart, if one day na handa na akong makipagrelationship and she’s available, I don’t see why not.”

The door of opportunity for Rafael and Bianca’s friendship to grow has been opened, but what can Rafael say about Kiko and Geneva’s long distance relationship? “If they survive it, it will be the strongest boyfriend-girlfriend relationship in the world. Ako, boto ako diyan. Go for it all the way. Struggle and enjoy the victory.”

Would he be strong and brave enough to endure a long distance relationship in real life? “If you ask me personally, I wouldn’t encourage it para sa sarili ko, pero ‘yung mga iba diyan na malakas talaga at nagtitiwala talaga sa kanilang pagmamahal, go for it dahil it’s worth the experience, at least,” explained Rafael.
