Thea Astley opened the first-ever Waterbomb in Manila last February.
Sparkle star Thea Astley marked a significant career milestone earlier this year when she opened the first Waterbomb Manila last February.
The popular music festival from South Korea arrived in Manila on February 22 and 23 at the Quirino Grandstand, and Thea was part of the roster of amazing performers.
In an exclusive interview with ATM (Adventure. Taste. Moments), Thea looked back on her memorable experience and shared a glimpse of her preparation for the performance.
The singer-actress said she didn't say 'yes' immediately when she was first offered to perform at the music festival due to the pressure that comes with it.
“But ultimately I said yes, kasi it's an honor to be asked to perform there,” Thea said.
Thea also recounted the rehearsals and the preparations she did for the opening stage, which she said was a collaborative effort of all the people she worked with.
“Ultimately, even with all that preparation, ang pinaka nasa head ko lang talaga is just to have fun and be present and be in the moment 'cause it's a once in a lifetime opportunity,” Thea explained.
If given a chance, Thea said she would love to perform at the festival again and said she is excited to see how she's going to top her first stage since she put her all into it.
