EXCLUSIVE: 'All-Out Sundays' director Miggy Tanchanco reveals secret behind show's leveled-up productions

By Beatrice Pinlac

All-Out Sundays director Miguel Tanchanco, commonly known as Direk Miggy, shared how they improved the quality of the Kapuso variety show by actively listening to the viewers' feedback.

“I'm a listener. I listen to everybody. I make sure na everybody's inputs [ay] mapapakinggan. And I treat everybody as family para at least mas masarap 'yong working environment,” he said in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

Direk Miggy stressed the importance of mounting the show according to the requests of the audience, noting that their suggestions have already influenced major changes on the show. He also confirmed that the upgraded version of All-Out Sundays was heavily inspired by the hit segments of its forerunner SOP.

And for the longest time, 'yong biritan sa SOP before ang inaabangan ng mga tao. Inaabangan din 'yung concept na 'yon,” he said.

In helming All-Out Sundays, Direk Miggy sees it necessary to track which segments are well-received by the Kapuso audience so they can continue producing and enhancing it.

Asked about how he feels when the show receives praise from its viewers, he shared how fulfilling it is for the team to be recognized for their hard work despite the limited time to prepare and rehearse for their productions.

Before diving into the world of directing, Miguel Tanchanco first rose to fame when he debuted in the 90's dance group Universal Motion Dancers, alongside Wowie De Guzman, Brian Furlow, Jim and James Salas, Gerard Faisan, Marco McKinley, Gerry Oliva, and Norman Santos.
