'Alyas Robin Hood' casts its charm in Cebu this weekend

As GMA 7 regains its lead in nationwide TV ratings, action-packed primetime series Alyas Robin Hood is further stretching its arrow to reach more Kapuso fans, staging its first-ever regional show this Sunday (October 23) in Cebu.

None other than Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes will be in the Queen City of the South for a Kapuso Mall Show in Gaisano Grand Fiestamall Tabunok in Talisay. The show begins at 4 p.m.

Joining Dingdong is one of his leading ladies in the series, Andrea Torres, who is sure to fire up the afternoon of fun and entertainment.

“We are delighted to bring one of the country’s highest rating primetime shows to Cebu with no less than Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes himself headlining the Kapuso Mall Show,” says Oliver Amoroso, Officer-in-Charge of GMA’s Regional TV Department, “Aside from bringing our shows closer our Kapusong Cebuanos, this is also our way of thanking them for continuously supporting GMA. And what better way to do this than to have Dingdong lead us in expressing our gratitude,” he adds.

GMA has recently won back the lead in nationwide TV ratings as evidenced by data provided by the industry’s trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, with Alyas Robin Hood being one of the highest-rating Kapuso programs in National Urban Philippines. The recently launched Kapuso primetime show is also included in the list of 10 top-rating shows in Urban Luzon.

The much-talked about series serves as Dingdong’s return to television. In the series, Dingdong plays Pepe de Jesus, a man who finds absolution in doing service to his community. A combination of action, drama, adventure, and comedy, the series aims to show an inspiring truth that there is a hero in each of us, able to be of service to other people.

Alongside Andrea, Dingdong is joined in the series by 2013 Miss World Megan Young. The powerhouse cast also includes 2016 Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Ms. Jaclyn Jose, seasoned actress Ms. Cherie Gil, award-winning actor Sid Lucero, with the special participation of multi-awarded actor Christopher “Boyet” De Leon. Also part of the series are Paolo Contis, Gary Estrada, Dennis Padilla, John Feir, Gio Alvarez, Lindsay de Vera, Dave Bornea, Caprice Cayetano, Ces Quesada, and Rey “PJ” Abellana. Shown from Monday to Friday after Encantadia on GMA Telebabad, Alyas Robin Hood is directed by Dominic Zapata.
