Alfred Vargas begins class for his doctoral degree in UP

Actor and politician Alfred Vargas added another hyphen to his adjectives as he begins his doctoral degree in the University of the Philippines.

On Instagram, the AraBella actor shared his exprience in a hybrid learning system, and explained why he decided to pursue a dctoral degree.

Unknown to many, Alfred has already a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance.

"It's my first time to experience a hybrid class, where online and face-to-face sessions are combined," he wrote on Instagram.

"As a policymaker, I've met the best & brightest minds of the country & it's always an honor to hear their insights firsthas. There's always so much to learn. So much to understand. And so much to do for our country."

After serving as Quezon City fifth district's congressman for three terms, Alfred now serves as one of the councilors of the same district.

"Pinili ko talaga ang urban planning para mas palalimin pa natin ang pagkakaunawa sa mga suliranin, disensyo & sustainable solutions para sa ating distrito, lungso & bansa. At ang mga kaalamang ito ang magiging susi sa paglalatag ng mga polisiya't programang epektibo.

"This semesters to come excite me! I know this is a very challengin undertaking but learning will always be worth it!"

Aside from being an actor-public servant-student, Alfred's proudest achievement is being a dad to his three children.
