Thea Astley, napiling host ng GMA podcast na 'Behind The Song'
Sobrang nagpapasalamat si Kapuso artist Thea Astley nang mapili bilang host ng upcoming music and talk podcast na Behind The Song.
Sa press interview na ginanap nitong Miyerkules (September 22), ibinahagi ni Thea ang kanyang pasasalamat sa GMA Network.
"Gusto ko po talagang magpasalamat sa GMA Network and GMA Artist Center for giving this project to me. Kasi po lagi akong nagla-livestream. I really like talking to people, learning from people and having conversations," pagbabahagi ni Thea.
"I've been playing with it in the back of my head na parang gusto kong gumawa ng podcast, but I never expected na may darating na opportunity. Super thankful and so happy," dagdag pa niya.
Ibinahagi rin ni Thea kung ano nga ba ang Behind The Song.
"Basically we're featuring an artist every episode na who has just released a new song, and we basically ask them to tell the story behind the song. But actually it's even more than that kasi we want them to talk about the whole process of it. Doon pa lang sa dumating sa kanila 'yung idea nu'ng song to the journey of recording it, to releasing it. Aside from that, gusto rin naming ilagay sa limelight 'yung the people who are also an integral part of creating the song," sabi ni Thea.
Ayon kay Thea, hindi lang artists ang kasama sa podcast kundi maging ang kanilang producers at composers.
"In every episode, we have either the composer or the song producer, even both kasi they're just as much apart creating the song. Ultimately, we just want to let people know na OPM is very much alive and there are so many songs that are out there," aniya.
Bukod sa local artists, tampok din sa podcasts ng Behind The Song ang international at K-pop artists.
"Actually not just OPM kasi we also have international artists. We just want to tell listeners that every song has an important story behind it, as to why it was written," paliwanag ni Thea.
Noong September 22, naglabas na ng teaser ang Behind The Song tungkol sa ilang artists na tampok sa podcast.
Nariyan ang local artists na sina SB19's Pablo, Mikee Quintos, Julie Anne San Jose, at Bianca Umali. Sa international artists naman ay ang The Happy Fits, mxmtoon, at South Korean boy group BTOB.
Mag-uumpisa na ang Behind The Song sa September 28 kung saan para sa unang episode nito tampok ang pinuno ng SB19 na si John Paulo Nase.
Ilalabas ang bagong episodes ng podcast tuwing Martes, at ang buong interview naman ay mapapanood sa GMA Network's social media pages tuwing Huwebes.
