Gwen Zamora's preparations for Binoy Henyo

Balik-teleserye ang Kapuso actress na si Gwen Zamora sa TV series na Binoy Henyo, where she plays the role of Emily, ang asawa ni Francis, played by Luis Alandy. In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com during Binoy Henyo's press conference, Gwen opened up about how she prepared for the role, working with child actor David Remo, and what she had to give up to concentrate on her new project.

We asked the sexy actress on what she did to give life to the character of Emily. "More on internalizing kasi matagal na akong hindi nag-soap. So parang getting in touch with my emotional bank, my memory bank. 'Yung emotions, how to get to them fast, how to control them, kasi matagal na akong hindi nag-drama. I've been working on that, and understanding my character kasi I don't want to give her that kontrabida look. Gusto ko 'yung makikita mo 'yung sakit na nararamdaman niya, 'yung rason kung bakit siya ganyan," she explains.

She has done scenes with Binoy, played by David Remo, for a couple of times, and she finds the show's lead actor very adorable. "He's super sweet, makulit. He's so cute! I did a scene with him, mukha siyang Puss in Boots, kasi ang laki-laki ng uniform niya, tapos ang laki ng shoes. Adorable!"

Gwen also believes that Binoy Henyo has a good moral story and very full of heart. "All the characters are very passionate about their goal, on what they want to do. Like Binoy, he wants to help everyone. Agnes really wants to help her son and her Lola Chato. Francis naman wants to make Emily, me, happy, and wants to find his son. And then Emily wants to do everything just to make her husband happy. Everyone wants to make everyone happy. So it's a happy show with a touch of sadness."

Bago pa man siya sumabak sa taping para sa naturang show, naging abala din si Gwen sa kanyang sarili at pamilya. "I started yoga again. The last couple of months I have just been spending time with my family because my mom, my dad, and my cousins are in town, so they've been my hobby whenever I don't have work."

Mayroon din daw siyang tinigilan para makapag-concentrate sa kanyang trabaho. "I even stopped playing Candy Crush because I wasn't working well with that game, so I gave it up na. So now, whenever I have a break I just read my script so once I go on the set, alam ko na 'yung gagawin ko."

If there is one thing she loves about her role, it's having the chance to do ad-libs. "What I love about my role now, hindi siya all Tagalog unlike all my other roles before, so puwede ako mag-ad-lib. Ang sarap pala ng feeling na ganun. Kasi 'yung role ko sa Aso ni San Roque, super lalim so siyempre hindi ako maka-ad-lib."
