Kapuso Action Drama Prince Ruru Madrid is on the way to recovery after sustaining an injury while filming his upcoming full-action series Black Rider.
Like in his previous action-adventure series Lolong, Ruru also chose to do his own stunts and fight scenes for Black Rider.
While being very careful, he has also accepted the risks involved in doing so.
Unfortunately, Ruru sustained an injury on his right knee.
He is now working with Coach Joseph Santos II, a sports physiotherapist who specializes in rehabilitating athletes who have been injured.
On his Instagram account, Ruru shared a few photos and videos of him doing a few exercises with Coach Joseph.

"Getting stronger every day! 💪
"I love doing my own stunts and fight scenes pero syempre hindi maiiwasan ang aksidente. I just had another injury (Acute Ligamentous Injury) sa right knee. That's why I decided to get a PT (Physical Therapist) Coach @josephsantosii para mas maging matibay at handa ang katawan sa lahat ng eksena na kailangan gawin.
"Health is wealth, kaya pangalagaan natin ang ating mga katawan para sa ating kinabukasan! ☺️✨," he wrote on the caption of his post.
This is not the first time Ruru has been injured while filming a teleserye.
Filming of action-adventure series Lolong was temporarily paused after Ruru sprained his ankle while doing a fight scene.
In Black Rider, Ruru will play a simple delivery rider named Elias who will find himself facing a large crime syndicate.
Aside from Ruru, Black Rider will also star Matteo Guidicelli, Yassi Pressman and many more.
