Korean social media star Dasuri Choi joins 'Bubble Gang'

Pinoys fell in love with the beauty and talent of Dasuri Choi, when this beautiful Korean joined the Eat Bulaga's "You're My Foreignay" in 2014.

Since then, Dasuri has built a strong fanbase online. In fact, her official YouTube channel already has 1.8 million subscribers and she's one of the most followed TikTok celebrities with over 11 million fans.

This year, Dasuri is set to reach another career milestone by joining GMA Network's multi-awarded gag show Bubble Gang.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the Korean social media star thanked the whole team of Bubble Gang for choosing her to be part of their star-studded show.

She said, “Una sa lahat po, I just want to say thank you din po for choosing me sa Bubble Gang. I still can't believe, pero nandito po ako.”

When asked what she think Bubble Gang saw in her, Dasuri replied that the show probably loved her authentic and funny personality.

Dasuri said, “So, I'll try my best. And siguro napili ako, dahil siguro ang kulit ko sa vlog or nakita nila 'yung YouTube channel ko po or sa TikTok ko po--hindi lang dance 'yung ginagawa ko, minsan may comedy skits din po ako--so, siguro nakita nila ang kulit ko.”

The former Eat Bulaga's "Social Dis-dancer" choreographer admitted that she initially felt nervous about joining Bubble Gang. But she promises to all the loyal Kababol that she will do her very best to give them a good performance every Friday night.

“Dapat guesting lang po ako sa Bubble Gang, pero they ask me bigla if I can be a regular cast. Sa una po, kinabahan po ako, kasi nga medyo bulol pa ako bilang foreigner and pure Korean po kasi ako. Pero feeling ko being [my] bulol naman [kaya] natutuwa sa akin mga Pinoys kasi nakakatawa 'yung salita ko.

“'Yun po, I still try my best to be fluent sa Tagalog, kahit medyo mali-mali Tagalog ko. Thank you so much Bubble Gang family.”

Aside from Dasuri, other new members are also joining the hit gag show including comedienne Tuesday Vargas, StarStruck heartthrob Kim de Leon, and Sparkle beauty Faith da Silva.

This is just one of the many exciting things happening in Bubble Gang as it relaunches on May 27.
