Rain Barquin is 'Centerstage''s first-ever grand finalist!
Caloocan City's Rain Barquin to Centerstage's grand finals as he clinched his third win on GMA's newest original musical competition, on Sunday.
With his jaw-dropping performance of Wency Cornejo's “Habang May Buhay,” Rain got to defend, for the third time, his spot at the Ultimate Centerstage which led him to be the show's first-ever grand finalist.
Judges Pops Fernandez, Aicelle Santos and Mel Villena were seen smiling throughout the performance while silently commending Rain's plausible act.
Meanwhile, Rain expressed his gratitude after achieving the said feat.
“Sobrang saya ko po na ako po 'yung naging unang-unang grand finalist po at nagpapasalamat din po ako sa mga judge, sa bumubuo po nitong 'Centerstage' at sa banda po,” the young biritero said.
Netizens also congratulated Rain for clinching his third win. And although it's still too early to redict the outcome of the said show, a netizen named Zack Fair said, "Feeling [ko] ito ang mag-champion."
Rain's father Richy Barquin, on the other hand, thanked netizens for the support they have given to his son.
Earlier this month, Rain snatched the Ultimate Centerstage from Hargie Ganza, the show's first-ever Defending Bida.
Hosted by Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards, Centerstage airs every Sunday, at 7:40 PM after Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.
