Jillian Ward wants this kind of Christmas celebration with her family
Multi-talented Sparkle actress Jillian Ward has no plans yet for the upcoming Christmas season, especially with her hectic schedule.
Currently, Jillian is part of the high-rating afternoon series Abot-Kamay na Pangarap and she will be the lead star in the multi-episode story of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko airing this month.
Jillian told GMANetwork.com during an online media conference last October 4 that planning a vacation during the holidays is a bit hard on her part.
She explained, “Naku, ayan nga po 'yung medyo nahihirapan po ako, kasi hindi ko alam kung paano magbabakasyon. Actually, kunwari po sa taping, 'yung three days ko po na bakasyon na rest day, sobrang laking bagay na po 'yun for me.”
“Pag-iisipan pa po namin kung saan po kami sa Pasko, pero ang importante lang po sa akin is kasama ko sila, kahit sa bahay lang po. Kasi, kami po sa family parang hindi po kailangan ng engrande na bakasyon para mag-enjoy. Minsan, mas nag-e-enjoy kami 'pag nag[sisimba] lang kami magkakasama, kakain sa bahay, ganyan.” Jillian said.

Tonight, the "Captain Kitten" story will premiere on Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko which was moved to Saturday primetime from their previous schedule on Sunday night.
Jillian will portray the role of Kat, who will transform into a superheroine Captain Kitten.
The members of the press also got to interview the show's director Rico Gutierrez and asked him what lessons he learned as a kid that he wants to impart to viewers through Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.
Direk Rico shared, “I think 'yung number one sa family kasi namin is sharing. Parang I remember 'pag Christmas bibili kami ng toys, tapos biglang hindi pala sa amin 'yun, kailangan ibigay namin 'yun sa street children na mapipili namin.”
He continued, “I think 'yung medyo na-instill sa akin ng mga magulang ko na talagang mas maganda 'yung na nabe-bless mo 'yung ibang tao. At the same time, naniniwala rin naman ako 'pag [shini-share mo 'yung blessing], bumabalik din sa'yo yun.”
“Ang Daig [Kayo Ng Lola Ko] naman kasi thematic siya. Bawat episode, bawat story, iba-ibang lessons, life lessons ang ibinibigay niya.”
