Showbiz gem Gloria Romero to appear in 'Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko' anniversary special

Fans of the multi-awarded actress Miss Gloria Romero can look forward to watching the anniversary special of the high-rating weekly magical-anthology on TV Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko starting July 10.

Launched in 2017, the show has Miss Gloria portraying the caring and magical fairy Lola Goreng, who reads heartwarming fairytale stories to her three apos: Alice (Jillian Ward), Elvis (David Remo), and Moira (Chlaui Malayao).

During the online media conference for the show's anniversary last Tuesday (July 5), AVP for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria shared to entertainment writer Gorgy Rula that Tita Glo will have a special appearance in the anniversary series.

She revealed, “For the anniversary series nakapagpagawa kami ng short intro kay Tita Glo (Gloria Romero) for anniversary series lamang. Not for the entire 2022 or even for 2023.”

The Kapuso executive added that the health of the showbiz icon is paramount to the whole team of DKNLK.

“Kasi nga 'yung old age ni Tita Glo, medyo, we really need to take care of her na talagang hindi siya talaga masyado rin mae-expose sa mga tao.”

“So, ayaw naman namin na parang 'yung Daig pa maging reason para makakuha siya ng mga 'di ba COVID-19 or whatever.”

Miss Ali added, “Pero for [the] anniversary series, 'yung mga rare moment na makikita natin si Tita Glo, makikita n'yo for the month of July, so isa 'yun dun sa special ano namin for Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko anniversary.”
