Direk Rico Gutierrez flexes new award of 'Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko'

Seasoned Kapuso director Rico Gutierrez was ecstatic, after learning that the high-rating fantasy series Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko bagged an award in the 35th PMPC Star Awards for Television held last January 28.

The number one and most-watched weekly magical anthology bested other shows to claim the trophy for Best Horror/ Fantasy Program.

In his Instagram post, Direk Rico congratulated the whole team behind the show for this new feat saying, “Congratulations team 'Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko' -Best Fantasy Program. Maraming salamat PMPC.”

Running Man PH star Mikael Daez and Sparkle hunk Pancho Magno also greeted Direk Rico for the show's big win in this year's Star Awards for TV.

In other news, the "Chinese Lion" story also registered strong ratings for all its three episodes.

Starring Miguel Tanfelix, Niño Muhlach, Melissa Mendez, and Faye Lorenzo, this Chinese New Year special of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko also features Lime Aranya, Frances Lee Loyola, and Marco Masa.

Based on the NUTAM People Ratings, the fantasy program registered a 7.6 % rating yesterday January 29 and it also dominated its rival shows last January 22 and 15.
