Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes introduced the actors portraying the members of the medical team who participates in the volunteer mission in Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation).

Dingdong shared a group photo "the medical team"--comprised of Chariz Solomon, Andre Paras, Renz Fernandez, Nicole Donesa, and Jenzel Angeles--on his Instragram on Tuesday, December 17.

The group will be headed by Jennylyn Mercado, who plays the role of Dr. Maxine in the much-awaited Filipino adaptation of hit Korean series.

In the story, Renz plays the role of Earl Jimeno, a general surgeon who provides experience to the volunteer team despite his eccentricities.

He relentlessly flirts with Emma, played by Chariz. They have been friends since at least their teens, and get together in the end.

Andre stars as Ralph Vergara, the son of a rich family and a first-year resident who joins the volunteer team. He is earnest but is also inexperienced and naive.

Chariz portrays the role of Emma Perez in the local adaptation of Descendants of the Sun.

Her character is a senior ER nurse who tends to serve as the voice of reason of the medical team.

Meanwhile, Nicole and Jenzel Angeles plays Via and Hazel, respectively. They portray the character of an ER nurse who participates in the volunteer mission.

Also part of the medical team is Reese Tuazon. She plays the role of Sandra Delgado, a pathologist. Her character is Maxine's best friend since their university days.

Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) is set to air on 2020.
