Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is proud to be a part of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) as the Kapuso series was selected as one of the Most Popular Foreign Dramas of the Year by the 15th Seoul International Drama Awards.

"A proud member of Team DOTS here! Congratulations to the men and women behind the show!" Dingdong, who plays the male lead role of Captain Lucas Manalo or Big Boss, said in his Instagram post on Monday, August 10.

Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) was chosen as this year's best foreign drama because it is influenced by Korean content that received positive reception around the world throughout the year.

The other two foreign series which received the same award are TNT's Snowpiercer and Sky Atlantic and HBO's The New Pope.

The romantic-action series is currently on a taping break, following the quarantine measures implemented by the government.
