Greg's death in 'Descendants of the Sun PH'

On the December 21 episode of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), Lucas (Dingdong Dantes) and the alpha team came to the woods where Greg's (Ian Ignacio) hideout was located. On the other side of the woods, Rodel (Neil Ryan Sese) and his men entered.

Lucas caught Rodel and accused him of abducting his own sister. Rodel denied it and said that it was his former group mates who took her. Suddenly, Greg emerged from the shadows with Maxine (Jennylyn Mercado) wearing an IED vest.

Greg's men fired first. He dragged Maxine away from the scene while the militaries and the rebels were exchanging fires. Lucas followed Greg.

Lucas aimed for Maxine's right shoulder to bust the detonator. Greg realized what Lucas was thinking but before he could grab Maxine again, the vest's right shoulder was already shot.

Lucas told Greg to surrender but the latter contested. He said he'd rather die than surrender. Greg tried to kill himself by grabbing Lucas's firearms but the alpha team leader was quick. They wrestled with the gun until it fired between them. Greg was shot.
