Will this be the end of Lucas and Diego in 'Descendants of the Sun PH?'

On the December 22 episode of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), Rodel (Neil Ryan Sese) managed to seize Maxine (Jennylyn Mercado) from the militaries. He didn't want to let her go anymore because of what happened and promised to protect her at all costs.

Lucas (Dingdong Dantes) caught Rodel with Maxine. When Rodel pointed his gun at Lucas, Maxine held Rodel's wrists and pointed the muzzle of the gun to her chest. Rodel softened and put down his gun but two special forces arrived, triggering Rodel. Maxine and Lucas left the area. Rodel couldn't believe that Maxine just left. He exclaimed “Traitor!”

Rodel aimed his gun at Maxine and fired. Lucas covered Maxine with his own body. He dropped on the floor with a gunshot on his back.

Rodel was now blinded by anger. He wanted to finish the whole alpha team.

Meanwhile, Greg (Ian Ignacio) was wounded but still alive. He managed to press the detonator and the switch that controls all the IEDs in the place. The whole area exploded.

At the medicube, Maxine was worried that Lucas wasn't there yet. Moira (Jasmine Curtis-Smith) assured her that he made it out of the woods alive.

Two Special Forces arrived at the medicube to report that Lucas and Diego (Rocco Nacino) might be dead, and identifying their bodies will take time.

Maxine and Moira were devastated.
