Someone to Watch Over Me, Encantadia stars jazz up Bacolod's MassKara Festival

GMA Network is sure to make this year’s celebration of MassKara Festival extra memorable as the stars of its top-rating Telababad shows join their fans in Bacolod City for a back-to-back treat this month.

Flying to the City of Smiles this Friday (October 14) is the complicated love triangle cast of Someone to Watch Over Me. Kapuso actors Tom Rodriguez, Lovi Poe, and Max Collins take a break from their heartwarming drama to spend time with their Negrense fans. They will be in a Kapuso Mall Show in SM City Bacolod Main Atrium starting 5 p.m.

Come next Saturday (October 22), the stars of Encantadia namely Sanya Lopez, Rocco Nacino, Klea Pineda, and Migo Adecer bring magic to Bacolod City as they headline the Kapuso Mall Show in SM City Bacolod Main Atrium at 5 p.m.

“We are excited to share the good news that two top-rating shows of GMA Telebabad will be joining us for this year’s MassKara Festival. This only shows how we value the celebrations of our fellow Kapuso all around the country,” says Oliver Amoroso, Officer-in-Charge of GMA’s Regional TV Department. “We hope our Kapusong Negrense will have a great time with the back-to-back Kapuso Mall Shows we prepared for them as part of this major celebration,” adds Amoroso.

The two Kapuso series continue to beef up GMA 7 in the primetime block. Recent data from the industry’s trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement show that the telefantasya Encantadia is the highest-rating Kapuso program among the most-watched shows in NUTAM.

Someone to Watch Over Me, meanwhile, continues to attract  more viewers as they get hooked to the story of TJ (Tom) who has an early-onset Alzheimer's disease, as well as the struggle of his wife Joanna (Lovi), and his ex-girlfriend, Irene (Max).

The world-famous MassKara Festival traces its roots in the early ‘80s and features vibrant street dance competitions led by colorfully masked dancers. It is the biggest event held annually in Bacolod City, and one of the most-anticipated festivals in the country.
