In her latest vlog, Kapuso global endorser Gabbi Garcia shared the greatest lesson she learned while doing the role of Sang'gre Alena in the 2016 requel of Encantadia.

Encantadia is being rerun in GMA Telebabad after the network suspended the production of its drama shows while the enhanced community quarantine is in effect.

Encantadia was one of the most memorable projects I've ever done. It gave me the biggest break but then, I also learned a lot,” Gabbi admitted.

“Grabe 'yung growth na pinagdaanan ko, 'yung progress ko as a person because of Enca.”

Gabbi was only 16 years old when she auditioned for the role of Sang'gre Alena, originally portrayed by Karylle.

“Ang daming ups and downs nung show na 'yun. Ang dami kong natutunan, ang dami kong realizations,” she continued.

“But from my character Alena, sabay kami e. Sabay kami nag-grow nung character ko.

“Alena, at first, she was this timid, very shy, very mahinhin na diwata na ang gusto lang niya talaga is magmahal.

“And then along the way, she learned that it's not all about pouring out your love to someone.

“It's also about learning how to love yourself amidst all the chaos, na parang hindi ka puwede mag-pour out ng love sa iba if you don't fully love yourself.”

Gabbi admitted that she and Alena had the same philosophy when it comes to love.

“I picked that up. Doon ko talaga siya na-grasp while playing the character 'cause na-realize ko na ganun din pala ako sa totoong buhay at that moment,” Gabbi admitted.

“Na you can't just really give out all the love if you're not ready, if you don't love yourself.

“And it doesn't mean na kapag nalaman mo na na, 'Mahal ko na 'yung sarili ko,' it stops there.

“No, it's a continuous process and it's a never-ending learning experience na kung paano mo mas makikilala 'yung sarili mo at kung paano mo mas mamahalin 'yung sarili mo.”

In the beginning of the series, Sang'gre Alena was the weakest in the four Sang'gres but in the end, she became the queen of Lireo.

“It only shows that if you love yourself and if you can conquer yourself, then you can actually conquer the world,” Gabbi advised.

“Kapag mahal mo talaga 'yung sarili mo, you can do anything.

“Pero, yeah. Ang dami ko talagang natutunan sa show na 'yun. Ang daming ups and downs, ang daming masasayang moments, ang daming heartaches.

“Parang na-build 'yung paniniwala ko at character ko dahil sa show na 'yun.”

Now that she's in a happy relationship with Kapamilya actor Khalil Ramos, Gabbi also updated her fans about their relationship during the community quarantine.
