The Philippines' King of Talk, Boy Abunda, shared an afternoon with one of the best child actors of the 2000s and Magnifico star, Jiro Manio.
For more than a decade, Jiro has stayed out of the limelight due to personal issues and endeavors. However, his name was brought back to fame due to his appearance at Boss Toyo's Pinoy Pawnstars where he sold his Gawad Urian trophy for winning the Gawad Urian for Best Actor at the young age of 12 years old for the movie Magnifico.
In the latest episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Jiro revealed the reason behind his decision to sell his trophy and talked about his plans on returning to show business.

Jiro shared that despite being out of the limelight for years, he still misses being an actor and celebrity. He said he cherishes those who still remember his name and his being a former child star.
Throughout his guesting on FTWBA, Jiro remained very open about him being a family man. A few times, he reiterated that family should remain everyone's priority.
Jiro also said he misses his mother a lot, especially when they were complete as a family. He was also proud to share how his mother took care of him as a single mom.
Because of his life challenges, Jiro learned a lot of things that he wanted to impart to younger generations. He reminded them that they should always prioritize their families, schooling, and faith in God.
Jiro was the youngest to ever receive the Gawad Urian for Best Actor because of his performance in Magnifico together with Lorna Tolentino, Albert Martinez, and Gloria Romero. That being said, he chose that specific trophy because of its M emblem that meant Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
Because of recent life struggles, Jiro had to sell his trophy to help his family and use the money to celebrate the new year. Aside from these, Jiro had the intention to let Boss Toyo take care of his trophy and be lined up among other great actors in his museum.
Jiro revealed that while he is not keen on the idea of going back to the industry and his doctors are against it, he still accepts small roles and projects that suit his taste. He wanted to focus on self-recovery and taking enough rest from the business.
