Cast members attest 'I Can See You: The Promise' is a whole package
Cast members of GMA's one-of-a-kind series I Can See You: The Promise shared that they are confident that every aspect of the program is of superb caliber.
Helmed by award-winning director Zig Dulay, the week-long series stars Kapuso A-list stars Paolo Contis, Andrea Torres, Benjamin Alves, and Yasmien Kurdi. Also joining them is actress-host Maey Bautista.
During the Kapuso Brigade Zoomustahan held on October 5, the group said that they were satisfied with the holistic approach of the show.
Since the said series is one of the newest offerings of the network after months of pause due to the pandemic, Paolo said that the public's expectations about the show won't go down the drain.
“Hindi masasayang 'yung expectations nila kasi we made sure na we did a good program, we did a good episode,” he shared.
Setting aside the expectations, Yasmien said that she wants viewers to appreciate what they worked hard for.
“Siyempre nandu'n din pa rin 'yung kaba du'n sa magiging reaction ng viewers pagdating sa 'I Can See You: The Promise.'
“Siyempre gusto namin lahat na maging masaya sila at ma-appreciate nila 'yung mga pinaghirapan namin during our lock-in taping,” she said.
Adding, “Kasi hindi rin naman siya madali 'yung pinagdaanan namin bago naming siya na-shoot.
“'Yun lang 'yung part na pressured, pero hindi ko rin naman siya iniisip kasi as long as nag-enjoy naman kami lahat at 'yung story namin, confident kami na talaga namang napakaganda ng istorya.”
On the other hand, Andrea stressed that what she's feeling towards the public's feedback is excitement and not pressure.
“Mas nangingibabaw 'yung excitement kasi siguro dahil ang tagal hindi nag-work, tapos ang tagal na ring walang bagong napapakita, mas na-e-excite lang talaga ako na mapanood nila 'to.
“After kasi naming gawin 'tong soap na 'to parang alam namin na magiging maganda 'yung kalalabasan niya kasi talagang kinarir ni Direk.
“Grabe rin talaga 'yung paghimay-himay namin ng script, grabe 'yung preparation, so hopefully, dahil nga positive lahat 'yung nararamdaman ko at naming lahat, mag-translate rin 'yun sa mga tao,” she added.
Benjamin also shared that he is pleased with what they can offer in I Can See You: The Promise.
“Wala namang pressure. Maganda 'yung script na naibigay sa amin tapos mas lalong pinaganda dahil sa cast, production, at director namin,” he noted.
Maey likewise related, “'Yung konting pressure, siyempre napapalitan ng konting excitement kasi itong i-o-offer namin this week, bukod sa drama, may mapapanood kayong konting thrill, a little bit of konting katatakutan at konting comedy.
“So, a little bit of everything, 'yun 'yung whole package ng 'The Promise.'”
On I Can See You: The Promise, Paolo will portray the role of widowed multi-millionaire businessman Frank Agoncillo. However, he reunites with his wife as her soul possesses the body of his cousin and right-hand man's girlfriend Ivy Teodoro, played by Andrea Torres.
Directed by Zig Dulay, I Can See You: The Promise airs from October 5 until October 9, on GMA Telebabad after Encantadia.
