Heart Evangelista describes 'I Left My Heart in Sorsogon' as her 'best' project so far

Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista admitted that her upcoming teleserye I Left My Heart in Sorsogon is the "best thing" that she has been part of.

During the show's media conference, Heart assured that she and the cast gave their all for this show.

"Sa lahat naman ng soap ko, lahat naman pinaghirapan, siyempre, pero I feel [that] as a woman, and with everything I've been through with life, parang ngayon [ko lang] talaga nagamit lahat ng aspects ng pinagdaanan ko sa buhay ko," Heart revealed.

"And how meticulous we all are pagdating sa each scene, each character, every accessory, every continuity of the accessory, everything, we're all so in the zone."

In the series, Heart portrayed Celeste, born in Sorsogon but got her first taste of success in Manila as a celebrated fashion designer. Although successful in her craft, Celeste has a dilemma to choose between her Manila-based boyfriend Tonito (Richard Yap) and her first love living in Sorsogon Mikoy (Paolo Contis).

With only one week before the world premiere of I Left My Heart in Sorsogon on November 15, Heart felt nervous and excited at the same time.

"I'm nervous in a good way because I'm excited na makita [n'yo] how we all leveled up our game in terms of our craft and in terms of the attention to detail of Direk. So na-e-excite ako para sa [mga tao] how beautiful this project is.

"And you know, every time you promote something, you have to say something really good about what you're promoting, but I really must say, with all my heart, I feel like this is the best thing I've ever been part of."

Unknown to many people, I Left My Heart in Sorsogon was the idea of Heart, who currently serves as the First Lady of the province.

"When I was living in Sorsogon for two months, sabi ko, 'Mag-Sorsogon soap kaya ako? Papayag kaya sila?" she recalled.

"Because Sorsogon is like a hidden paradise. Honestly, maraming tao ang hindi pa nakakarating sa Sorsogon so I'm so happy that GMA is giving them the spotlight."
