EXCLUSIVE: Rafael Rosell makes sure he does not become comfortable with his roles

Kapuso leading man Rafael Rosell has portrayed various roles since he entered showbiz, but he admits to not becoming comfortable in any of them. This, he says, is his way to make sure that one character will be different from the other.

"I think once you get comfortable in a role, doon natatapos ang excitement eh. So it's always necessary na dagdagan mo ng iba't ibang factors, challenges, or quirks, traits, mannerisms ang isang character para maging interesting siya," he tells GMANetwork.com in an exclusive interview.

The Impostora star added, "Personally, 'yan ang ginagawa ko sa lahat ng character ko. Dinadagdagan ko nang kaunti pa para hindi ako maging komportable, para lagi akong on my toes at laging may excitement ang pagganap ng characters. Being comfortable in a character, never ako naging komportable."

Of all the roles he has played, his favorite will be those that are outside of his comfort zone.

"I think to portray a person that you are not is always challenging, whether that's kontrabida, bida, mabait, masama. I think it's a great challenge to step out of yourself and portray something you are not. I take all my characters as the same amount of challenge."
