More than a year since it aired its season finale, the popular comedy show Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa is set to open its doors again beginning January 20.

Top-billed by the Kapuso Primetime couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, the whole gang is back to provide unlimited fun and heartfelt stories every weekend.

For season two, Jose and Maria have a new task of bringing Mommy Janice and Lolo King's BnB business back to life, but this time, a new challenge awaits the couple.

Mommy Janice has increased the quota to a whopping 1 million pesos! What's more, a new rival will add spice to the day-to-day operation of the newest Bonggang Villa with the arrival of Tiffany played by seasoned comedienne Pokwang.

After showcasing their dramatic prowess in their box office movie “Rewind,” DongYan will remind everyone that they are versatile actors as they provide a ton of laughter as Jose and Maria.

In an interview with 24 Oras, Marian hinted about a scene featuring Dong in the brand-new season that will surprise everyone.

She said, “Dito nila makikita ang komedyante side ni Dong. Kanina pa lang may isang eksena kami na may ginagawa siya. Tawa na lang kami nang tawa sa likod. Sabi ko, 'Ah, ibang Dingdong naman ang makikita nila'.”

In addition, people will also see the funny side of primera kontrabida Pinky Amador. If you love her performance in Abot-Kamay na Pangarap as Moira, you will even be more impressed with Pinky's ability to portray any role.

2. Pokwang joins the hilarious cast of Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa 2.0

In season one, Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa assembled some of the best comedians in the country like Pekto, Benjie Paras, and Hershey Neri.

In this upcoming season, GMA Network, APT Entertainment, and the Dantes couple (who are co-producers) decided to tap award-winning comedienne and host Pokwang to join the incredible cast.

If the trailer for the show is any indication, Mamang Pokwang's addition to the sitcom will be an added boost for the show.

3. Quality laughs

Viewers of Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa can expect a good dose of laughter since the comedy in the show appeals to people of all ages.
