“Ito talaga 'yung wini-wish ko, itong show na 'to. 'Yung sinabi sa akin 'to, natuwa ako kasi ito talaga yung hinihingi kong gift,” Paul said.

During Kara Mia's pictorial last December 3 at the GMA Compound, Paul told GMANetwork.com that he has a reason to work hard: his younger brother's 18th birthday.

“'Yung kapatid ko, si John, mag-18 years old na so humihingi na ng kotse sa kuya,” Paul said, laughing.

“If ever man na maka-ipon ako, hindi ko na muna [bibilhin] yung kotse na gusto ko, bibilhan ko na lang muna siya if ever makaipon ako,” he added.

According to Paul, John will be turning 18 in April and he already has a student permit.

“Tinuturuan na namin ni daddy mag-drive kasi hihingi na talaga ng kotse 'yon, sana matupad yung wish ko na mabigyan ko siya ng kotse.”

Joining Kara Mia are veteran actors Carmina Villarroel, John Estrada, Glydel Mercado, Alicia Alonzo, and Gina Pareño.

Kara Mia will air in 2019 on GMA Telebabad.
