Aside from performing his own stunts, Christopher de Leon shared soem of the challenges he faced in 'Lolong.'

Veteran actor Christopher de Leon is proud to have performed his own stunts in upcoming action-adventure series Lolong.

Christopher plays Armando Banson, a powerful politician who engineered the near wipeout of crocodiles in a town called Tumahan.

Knowing that Lolong is an action-adventure series, he welcomed the challenge of doing his own fight scenes.

"I know the techniques already since I've been in the business for so long. It's the art of falling and all that. The fight scenes, I have to be on par with Ruru [Madrid] and the rest of the gang. 'Pag sinabi ni direk, when the captain says do this, I do that. It's part of my job," Christopher shared.

"I like the discipline of the stance, the movements. It's part of being an actor. You have to train for it," he added.

He also enjoyed doing fight scenes with lead star Ruru Madrid, who plays the titular Lolong.

"Ang nangyari, nagkataon, binigyan ako ng marami--ang daming [fight scenes], wow. Doing a fight scene with Ruru is [challenging.] This guy is fast! I have to be fast at the same time 'di ba?" Christopher said.

But the scene he enjoyed most is one of him ang the giant crocodile Dakila. Dakila is a 22-foot animatronic crocodile. He is also rendered in CGI in some of his scenes.

"Ito ang isa sa pinaka enjoy na eksena na nagawa ko. It was when the big crocodile named Dakila attacked Armando. Grabe, noong hinabol siya. Whoa! Dakila was trying to eat him. It was trying to eat Armando and I was like shouting and shouting," he recalled.

According to Christopher, he felt like a kid while filming the scene because he has to use a lot of imagination.

"We were doing it the whole day. I enjoyed it so much. Para kaming mga bata. We were doing scenes with a giant crocodile named Dakila. Actually, isa sa mga cast members si Dakila. Salamat, Dakila!" he expressed.

"Pinaka mahirap na ka eksena is, of course, animals and babies and animatronics and CGIs. Sa CGI, wala kang nakikita but you have to act it out like somebody is eating you, like a monster eating you. Talagang mahirap but you have to use your imagination," he added.

Lolong tells the story of a young man named Lolong who has the unique ability to communicate with a giant crocodile named Dakila.

Catch the world premiere of Lolong on July 4, 8:00 p.m. on GMA Telebabad.
