According to Ruru Madrid, there will be big changes in the upcoming episodes of 'Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan.'
Primetime action hero Ruru Madrid is fresh off his trip to Hollywood for a special screening of his award-winning film Green Bones at the Manila International Film Festival.
He is now back in the country and back on set of his primetime action-adventure series Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan.
Ruru feels recharged and is ready to jump back in to the intense fight scenes and stunts for the show.
He also teased some big changes happening in the upcoming episodes of the series.
"Para bang hindi ko nararamdaman 'yung pagod. Mas na-e-excite ako sa mga magiging bagong istorya ng Lolong dahil ibang-iba. Ibang-ibang aksiyon at ibang-ibang drama ang inyong mapapanood ngayon," Ruru shared.
In the eighth week of Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan, Ruru's character Lolong finds himself in the underground fighting ring of Julio (John Arcilla).
There, he will face past foes like Dona (Jean Garcia) who recently got out of prison, and her son Ivan (Martin del Rosario), a fierce fighter.
"Nag-sanib pwersa sila -- si Julio, si Dona, si Ivan. Lahat 'yun ay laban kay Lolong kaya abangan natin kung papano ba ito lalabanan. Magtatagumpay nga ba ang kabutihan sa kasamaan?" Ruru explained.
Catch Ruru Madrid as the heroic Lolong in Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan, Monday to Friday, 8:00 p.m. on GMA Prime.
The program has a delayed telecast on GTV at 9:40 p.m. and can also be streamed online via Kapuso Stream.
