'Magkaagaw' stars share relationship lessons with regards to their characters in the show

With the return of Magkaagaw in GMA Afternoon Prime, viewers are once again tuned in to the love triangle that's happening between Veron Santos, Clarisse Almonte, and Jio Almonte.

While most are glued to their seats to see the catfight between the characters, its main cast has revealed that there's so much more to learn from the show than meets the eye.

For one, Sunshine Dizon, who plays Laura in the show, says that it's important never to lose sight of the family.

She firmly said during a media conference, “Siguro, that family is very important at hanggang pwede mo pang ipaglaban, ay kailangan mong ipaglaban.

"At huwag magpapatalo sa mga kabet. Totoo naman 'di ba? 'Di ka puwedeng magpatalo sa kanila kasi matutuwa sila!”

Meanwhile, taking the point of view of Veron Santos, actress Sheryl Cruz says that persons who engage in a notorious act should know their limits when seeking revenge.

“As for my character, Veron Santos, siya'y naghigante kasi siya yung inagawan ng asawa from the very beginning,” she explained.

“So, 'yung galit niya naging malaki dahil hindi lang 'yung asawa niya 'yung inagaw sa kanya, kundi pati na rin namatayan siya ng anak.

“Hindi ko alam kung paano ang paghihigante ng bawat tao sa kapwa pero kung ikaw ay maghihiganti, at nakapaghiganti ka na, you stop na. Kasi you don't want to be the person na kinamumuhian mo.

“Ganun siguro kasimple ang tinuturo ng show na kung ikaw ay may kinakainisan, you have to make sure that you don't end up being the same way as they are. Hindi mo ibababa ang level mo.”

For the leading men of the hit afternoon series, it's as simple as staying faithful to your wife or partner.

Polo Ravales, who plays Oliver in the show, said, “Siguro 'wag kang mambabae lalo na 'pag may asawa ka na kasi magugulo ang buhay mo. 'Yun ang pinaka-important.

“Yes, we know that family is important, but in terms of marriage, talagang magugulo and pamilya mo kung mambabae ka kaya iwasan mo na lang.”

Kapuso actor Dion Ignacio, who plays Zander Rodriguez, said it best, “Kumbaga nasa diyamante ka na, 'wag ka nang pumunta sa bato!

“Ako kasi may pamilya na ako, at kung tumingin ako sa babae at 'pag namababae ako. sasakit ang ulo ko, mai-stress ako, mabilis akong tatanda. So mabuti pa ang aral dito, kagaya ng sinabi ni Polo, 'wag ka na lang matukso talaga.

“Sa character ko naman, gusto niya si Clarisse [Klea Pineda] kaso nga lang hindi niya ako gusto. So kung hindi para sa'yo, lumayo ka na lang. At kung may mahal talaga siya na iba ay magparaya ka na lang.”

Magkaagaw airs Monday to Friday at 2:30 p.m. only on GMA-7.
