Saad ni Direk Joey sa kanyang Facebook post ay ang pasasalamat sa pagkakataong maging creative head at head writer sa serye.

"Now that the first book of MANO PO LEGACY will come to its conclusion, thanks are in order to Roselle Monteverde, Joey Abacan, and everyone involved in the production for giving me the opportunity to create, write and shape a teleserye with least intervention and the privilege of freedom. To my ex-students in the Film Program of the School of Design and Arts, De la Salle-College of Saint Benilde --- Lino Balmes and Ron Dulatre --- for being my co-conspirators and writers: you make this teacher very proud for living up to expectations and now being part of the professional world of mainstream media."

Nagpasalamat rin siya sa cast at mga direktor na bumuo ng matagumpay na Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.

"To Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Sunshine Cruz, Boots Anson-Roa, Almira Muhlach, the Mano Po Boys --- David Licauco, Rob Gomez, Dustin Yu, Nikki Co, and Darwin Yu, David Chua, Victor Basa, Casie Banks, and Barbie Forteza, as well as the entire cast of the series --- the appreciation of the audiences, could have only come from the life you gave the characters we wrote on the page. Inamin ng kilalang direktor na matagal na niyang gustong makapagsulat ng isang teleserye.

Aniya, "I have always wanted to write a teleserye but nobody believed that I am capable of such a task. It is great to be 67 years old and to prove to these people that they are so effing wrong."

Dugtong niya, "But that was only made possible because of all the people whose names are mentioned or implied on this posting. Just when people thought they have seen everything, I tell them, "You ain't seen nothin' yet."

Sa huli ay muli siyang nagpasalamat dahil sa mga naniwala sa kanyang kakayahan at sa mga tumutok sa Mano Po Legacy.
