The newest fantasy series of GMA, Maria Clara at Ibarra, showed a strong first week as netizens and fans alike continue to praise the series as well as the actors cast in their respective roles.

Likewise, fans continue to show their support by watching the series religiously as shown by the ratings that the series received. According to the NUTAM People Ratings, the show garnered a total of 15.2 percent combined viewership between GMA and GTV Channels which is more than half of the ratings other networks received on their show.

While most viewers are able to watch the series on TV, other viewers will have to rely on other means to watch. In some cases, even people from other countries, both Filipinos and foreigners, have tried to look for a way to watch, which is why some have taken to social media to ask around.

The fantasy-portal series tells the story of Klay, played by Barbie Forteza, a nursing student working to help make ends meet. She is then transported to the world of Noli Me Tangere, the novel written by Dr. Jose Rizal, where she meets protagonists Maria Clara portrayed by Julie Ann San Jose, and Crisostomo Ibarra played by Dennis Trillo.
