By SAMANTHA PORTILLO

Last Saturday was a delightful dance party that showcased different cultures in “Marian”. The sexiest dancing diva did not disappoint with her killer dance moves and awesome guests.

For her opening number, Marian channeled her inner Indian Princess. She showed her belly dancing skills in a Bollywood-inspired production number. Marian looked stunning in her purple outfit as she grooved to The Pussycat Dolls’ “Jai Ho”.

For the Showdance segment, Ryza Cenon and the UP Pep Squad faced off with LJ Reyes and the Animo Squad. Both actresses did some cheer dance-inspired acrobatics. The pompom battle was an engaging treat for all.

Up next was the performance of Barbie doll from down under, Natalia Moon and You’re My Foreignay winner, Dasuri Choi with the Hotlegs dancers. It was a fusion of Filipino folk dance and pop music. Natalia and Dasuri danced the tinikling to Michael Jackson’s biggest hits.

Then, Julie Anne San Jose collaborated with theater actor, JC Santos for a Grease-inspired number. Dressed in black leather jackets, the adorable pair sang “You’re the One That I Want”.

Marian then joined her co-host, Paolo Ballesteros in interviewing Dasuri and Natalia. The two showcased their singing skills in Filipino. Marian even sang an Aegis song to everyone’s amusement.

For the finale, Marian taught the dance steps of the week. Both are belly dancing technique, the “Wave and Hip Drop” and “Maya”. Paolo, Dasuri, Natalia, Ryza, LJ, JC and Julie Anne joined Marian in doing the fun and easy dance steps.

Next week will be even bigger as Marian celebrates her birthday on the show, live! Her handsome beau, Kapuso Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes will also be her special guest, so don’t miss it!
