Many people have transitioned into a remote work setup during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). And adjusting to this “new normal” proved quite challenging since most people do not have a proper workspace at home.

Although several places in the country have now been declared to be under the general community quarantine (GCQ), some have continued working from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you're one of those who are still working from home and figuring out how to improve your home office setup, then you should try these DIY projects featured on Mars Pa More.

1. Desk with storage

If you prefer to work while sitting in bed or on your sofa, chances are you'll need something to put your laptop on because it will eventually heat up.

If you do not have an actual laptop stand or table, you can use a plastic container as a substitute.

Not only will it have storage for your other work essentials, such as notebooks, pens, documents, and others. But it can also double as a pillow.

To turn a plastic container into a desk with storage, you'll need cardboards, fiberfill, cloth, glue gun, double-sided tape, and of course, a plastic container.

If you want a laptop desk that's more comfortable to place on top of your lap, then, try this DIY laptop desk, which uses an actual pillow.

To create a DIY laptop desk, you'll need a small pillow, fabric, wooden frame, gun tacker, glue gun, scissors, glass frame, rubber band, and a ribbon.

3. DIY gadget stands

Work meetings are mostly conducted online nowadays, via video chat apps. So, for a hassle-free video call experience, you'll need a stand for your gadget.
