Iya Villania on husband Drew Arellano: 'Hindi naman 'yan 'yung type ko'

By Racquel Quieta

Iya Villania and Drew Arellano have always been #RelationshipGoals. Although only a few showbiz couples are able to have a strong marriage and happy family life, they are proof that it's definitely possible.

However, in a recent episode of Mars Pa More, Iya revealed that she didn't actually think she'd marry Drew eventually because he was actually not her type.

Iya Villania reveals Drew Arellano was not really her type / Souce: Mars Pa More

Iya told Mars Pa More co-host Camille, “Mars, nagsimula kaming love team. (laughs) Alam mo 'yon 'di ba, sa 'Click?'

“So, nagsimula kaming love team but I never thought that I would actually marry Drew.

“Kasi hindi naman 'yan 'yung type ko. Hindi. Hindi 'yan 'yung type ko, mars.”

Nevertheless, in time, Iya realized that she actually married her “Mr. Right.”

“But, now that we're married, you know what? He turned out to be everything that I wanted.”

“Alam mo, mars, 'yung nakakatuwa, even including becoming the athlete that he is, the businessman that he is, you know, these are all things that I never realized that I wanted and it's what he is.”

Iya then shared what their future plan is as a married couple.

“So, saan ba kami papunta? Mars, well, nandun na kami, papunta na kami sa we're preparing our retirement home. (laughs)”

“Of course, eventually the kids are gonna be doing their own thing.

“So, parang 'yon. We've already invested in a place where we plan to grow old together.

“So, ayon. Doon kami papunta, mars.

“Pero hindi siya sana near future, noh? (laughs)”
