LOOK: Breathtaking places in Faroe Islands

By Racquel Quieta

In a recent episode of Mars Pa More, Filipina vlogger Ellen Johansen gave a virtual tour of some of the most breathtaking places in Faroe Islands.

The beautiful Faroe Islands is a group of islands tucked between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean.

It is the location of Paolo Contis and Yen Santos's movie A Faraway Land, and was also previously featured in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

Ellen has been living in Faroe Islands for 11 years now, and she showed hosts Iya Villania and Camille Prats, as well as celebrity guests Julie Lee and Tart Carlos, some of the must-see sceneries there.

One of the popular tourist spots in Faroe Islands is the natural wonder in Gasadalur called Mulafossur Waterfalls in Gasadalur.

It is a stunning waterfall where the water plummets from a cliff straight into the ocean.

Another spot that Ellen showed is the Giljanessi playground, which has a magnificent view of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Ellen describes the year-round weather in Faroe Islands as cold, wet, and windy. That's why Faroese love to bask in the sun during the summer.
