It's official! Our new Kapuso Kuya Kim Atienza is joining the Mars Pa More family as one of the hosts and the first pars in the show.
In a recent media conference, Kuya Kim was warmly welcomed by co-hosts Iya Villania-Arellano and Camille Prats-Yambao.
The new powerhouse Mars Pa More trio also teased about the exciting things that mars and pars can look forward to in the upcoming episodes, beginning November 8.
1. New host and new pars
Of course, the obvious reason to watch the all-new episodes of Mars Pa More is to see Mars Iya and Camille have more fun with their new co-host and pars, Kuya Kim.
During the media conference, Kuya Kim revealed that hosting Mars Pa More with Camille and Iya was so fun, it didn't feel like work at all.
“First episode pa lang, we enjoyed it na. I wasn't expecting the show to be this enjoyable, it's so much fun to do,” Kuya Kim revealed. “Parang naglalaro lang kami. We do three shows per taping day. Parang bitin nga, kasi ambabait ng lahat, pati production staff. Everyone is pleasant.”
2. Pars representation
For the past couple of years, we've heard mostly the opinions of our mars. But now with Kuya Kim added to the mix, the pars will now be well-represented in their timely and relatable discussions in segments like Mars Sharing Group.
“This is something that Cam and I never saw coming, but it was such a pleasant surprise,” Iya said. “Kasi nga naman, masyado nga tayong maka-Mars, kaya it's so refreshing to have the opinion of a Pars. At saka hindi lang opinyon ng kung sinu-sinong Pars lang. Opinyon ni Kuya Kim na kung anuman ang lumabas sa bibig niya, maniniwala kami.”
3. Bigger and better studio
Aside from a new host, Mars Pa More also has a new set, and the timing of moving to a new studio couldn't have come at a more opportune time.
“We really wanted to welcome Kuya Kim on this show with a really wonderful gorgeous spacious set,” Camille said.
Iya even described their new studio as “bigger and better in all aspects,” while Kuya Kim declared that he is proud of their set.
4. New segment and experiences
Kuya Kim will definitely be bringing new things to the table. One of which is serving interesting and educational trivia. Plus, he also gets to take the viewers with him outside of the studio to explore, and even spend time with some Kapuso stars. Moreover, he will also serve as the game master in their fun games in the studio.
“May mga times talaga na kasama namin siya sa studio nagba-banter with our guests, there are days naman na he goes out … puma-pasyal naman siya,” Camille shared. “Mas marami na siyang pwedeng gawin, mas marami na ring makikita, hindi kami nakakulong sa studio lang. Mas marami rin kaming mga experiences na pwedeng i-share because (of) Kuya Kim being a part of Mars Pa More.”
5. See Kuya Kim like never before!
Aside from being his trivia-savvy self and sharing some fun facts, being a fitspiration, and bringing his trademark high-energy brand of hosting, Kuya Kim will also try new things--some he's never done before on TV, like cooking!
“I'm learning so much stuff with the few times that I did the cooking with Mars Iya and Cams,” Kuya Kim said. “'Yun ang first time ko, cooking. Kasi sports kasi nagawa ko na 'yon. hosting nagawa ko na 'yon, song and dance nagawa ko na 'yon kahit papano. Pero 'yung cooking, hindi ko pa 'yon nagagawa. (laughs)”
During the media conference, Iya even teased her co-host and ninong Kuya Kim about his cooking skills.
Iya revealed, “Kuya Kim has a few things to learn in the kitchen (laughs).”
“So, doon ako na-e-excite to see how he will evolve as a kusinero, Doon ako na-e-excite. Because I know him as an athlete, I know him as a dad.” Iya explained.
Plus, Iya and Camille mentioned that Kuya Kim will be doing the “Chiquito dance” that has the potential to go viral. Now ain't that something we'd love to see?
So many new things to look forward to in the all-new Mars Pa More episodes, right? New set, new host, new segment, new experiences, and new fun mornings ahead with Mars Iya and Camille and Pars Kim.
