Lauren Young will bring out Darlene's evil side in Mundo Mo'y Akin

After the Mundo Mo’y Akin live chat last June 27, Kapuso actress Lauren Young granted an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com and gamely shared her first live chat experience and the exciting revelations to watch out for in the GMA Telebabad series.

“It was fun kasi kasama ko sila [Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes], kasi when you’re alone, it’s like you’re talking to yourself lang. I felt less crazy,” quipped the pretty actress when asked about her live chat experience.

The primetime actress also looked back at her favorite moments during the live chat. She shared, “It was so funny when they started doing the Giyomi kasi natutuwa lang ako sa kanila, and my favorite question was when they asked me how I prepare myself as an actress. It’s nice na people are also interested in that side…na parang they’re interested in the craft.”

Shifting into a more serious mood, Lauren clued us in on Darlene’s character developments. She stated, “Mas lalong sasama pa si Darlene. Ang daming mangyayari kay Perlita, sa akin, kay Marilyn, pero more on between Marilyn and I, mas magkakaroon ng tension and mas lalabas na ‘yung evil side ko.”

Besides internalizing for Darlene’s bouts of evilness, Lauren said that her scenes with Louise delos Reyes are always very challenging. The mestiza actress revealed the trick in order for a Darlene-Marilyn scene to be effective: “Kami kasi, we talk it over din, like how we want to do the scene, and then we get final inputs from our director. Parang ‘pag may mga samapalan, I tell her [Louise] na I’m gonna hit you, but it’s gonna be for real, if it’s okay. So nagpapaalam kami.”

“If Louise and I didn’t get along in real life, we wouldn’t be able to work as well as we do right now. Since we’re good friends, it helps din to build that trust. We need that trust din kasi ang bibigat ng eksena namin together,” added Lauren.

Finally, we asked Lauren what her favorite Darlene-Marilyn scene was. She had this to say: “Sa mga na-air na, siguro ‘yung pinasuot ko siya ng gorilla costume. That was funny pero sobrang mean!”
