Alden Richards opens up about his romantic side: 'Subtle lang ako, I don't tend to overdo things.'

Primetime leading man and certified crooner Alden Richards sat with GMANetwork.com for an interview after his live chat with Mundo Mo'y Akin co-stars Louise delos Reyes and Lauren Young last June 27. The young actor, who plays the role of Jerome in the series, talked about his fourth live chat experience, what fans should expect from Mundo Mo'y Akin's ending, and his thoughts on love and romance.

 

"I'm always having fun when I have a live chat kasi this is the chance for us to bond with the fans and supporters that are watching our current show. Nalalaman namin 'yung insights nila on how they are reacting to the show, ano ang feeling nila, what are the questions bothering them. This is a way for us to see on how fans support our projects," shares Alden.

 

He points out that his favorite question is about how he prepares for a role. "Kasi ako, I'm really passionate on my acting. I always make it a point to be a different character every time I play a role, 'yung walang traces ng kahit anong previous roles."

 

Now that Mundo Mo'y Akin is about to reach its beautiful ending, what should their loyal viewers expect to see?

 

"May death, unexpected weddings, and who's going to end up with who. Mayroon bang magkakatuluyan sa huli or wala? That's the question."

 

Gaganda kaya si Marilyn?

 

"Marami ang nagtatanong niyan. 'Yan ang unang tanong sa akin ng mga kakilala ko whenever nanonood sila ng show, kung gaganda daw ba si Louise. Secret! Ano pa ang papanoorin niyo kung sinabi ko kung gaganda o hindi?" he jokes.

 

As to who he thinks Jerome should end up with, this is what Alden had to say. "Kasi 'yung kay Jerome and Marilyn, it's true love. Si Jerome kasi is not really relying on the physical aspects of a girl. He's more into the intangible things, like emotions, attitude, which is also like me, like Alden in real life. I don't look at them physically, or whatever is on the outside ng isang girl or any person. What really matters is kung ano ang laman. You choose someone because you like them for who they are, and not what they are."

 

Is he as romantic as his character in real life?

 

"Not so much, pero I give it my all. Subtle lang ako, I don't tend to overdo things. Kasi sometimes when you overdo things, when you over-think things, that's when the sawa factor happens. So chill lang, come what may."
