His and hers loomie for Bianca and Miguel

For GMA Artist Center talent Miguel Tanfelix, spending hours taping for Niño is not merely a job. The 15-year-old star sees it as an opportunity to showcase his acting skills, at the same time, give inspiration to the viewers of the family-oriented drama series.

The Starstruck Kids alum also shares how easier work gets because of the healthy environment on the set.

“Ramdam ko po ‘yung pag-guide at pag-encourage sa akin ng cast, kaya mas inspired ako to do well,” says Miguel.

Among the cast, Miguel, makes a special mention of his co-star Bianca Umali, who plays the role of Gracie, Niño’s bestfriend.

In the drama series, Gracie owes her life to Niño for having been saved when she almost figured in an accident. This event forever altered Niño’s life, who grows up mentally challenged due to the severe head injury he sustained upon rescuing Gracie.

Miguel says his growing friendship with Bianca makes it easier for them to act as close friends on Niño. It’s also one of the reasons why Miguel looks forward to going to the set.

“Iba kasi ‘pag may kaibigan ka talaga sa set. Someone po na naiintindihan ka, at the same time, knows your interests,” says Miguel.

Bianca shares the same sentiment. “Ngayong magkasama po ulit kami ni Miguel sa set, I get to bond with him, tapos nakakapag-usap kami about our likes and dislikes. There’s never a dull moment with him!”

Speaking of likes, both the Kapuso teen stars seem to have joined the loom band craze. On Miguel’s Instagram account, he posted a picture of his hand as well as Bianca’s, both sporting the popular rubber bracelets.

Bianca says her loom band was a gift from her co-star. “One time kasi, nagkwentuhan kami ni Miguel tungkol sa mga nauuso ngayon. The next time I saw him, meron na siyang suot na loom band, and he also got me one. Parang friendship bracelet po ba.”

Miguel, on the other hand, says it was a simple gesture of appreciation. “I’m really grateful po for having someone like Bianca. ‘Pag magkasama kami sa set, ang gaan lang ng pakiramdam.”

For both Kapuso teen stars, work only gets easier as their friendship grows deeper.
