How Michael V. created the characters in 'Pepito Manaloto'

Maraming manonood ang nakaka-relate sa characters ng hit comedy show na Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento dahil sa mga makatotohanang sitwasyon na ipinapalabas dito. Pero paano kaya nabuo ang bawat character at naiiba sila sa isa't isa?

This is how the show's lead star and creative head Michael V. sums it up. "Some are accidentally discovered, others evolved, and others ay from the beginning, ganun na talaga."

Aniya, madalas ay may sinusundan silang character bible, but there are instances where the roles evolve because of the actors themselves.

"We do have a bible for every character. Pero minsan, may mga characters na nagta-transform kasi they keep on doing stuff na hindi niyo makikita sa screen. Most of the time kapag magkakasama kami and when we shoot an episode, kung anu-ano mga ginagawa nila eh. And things happen."

Isang halimbawa na kinuwento ni Bitoy ay ang pagbabago ng character ni Maria, ang isa sa kanilang mga kasambahay played by Janna Dominguez.

"Like Maria, is not originally like that. There was this one episode we were shooting, a Halloween episode, doon sa Book 1 pa. We were wearing costumes, and I was wearing a vampire costume. Sabi ko sa kanila, 'Mayroon ka bampira? Mayroon ka bampira?' Everyone was laughing, but Janna was like this (makes face). So we shot the sequence, and after that, break. Sabi ni Janna, 'Ay, gets ko na!' (Laughs) Doon nanggaling ang character ni Maria."
