EXCLUSIVE: Jake Vargas still wary of Pepito Manaloto's TV competition

Kapuso heartthrob Jake Vargas is overwhelmed with the support that his sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento has been getting for the past eight years.

In a one-on-one interview with GMANetwork.com, Jake expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their loyal viewers who made Pepito Manaloto number one.

Jake said, “Sobrang talagang nagulat kami kasi ‘yung tama ng tao sa amin kaya sobrang laki ng suporta sa amin. Kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat. Talagang ‘yung tutok nila sa amin iba eh, kahit papaano kasi may aral din naman ‘yung Pepito.”

He added that expect more exciting guest celebrities in the future episodes of the award-winning sitcom and follow what will happen with the love story of Chito and Nikki played by him and Julie Anne San Jose.

“Every taping namin kasi iba-iba ‘yung guest na pumapasok sa amin. Doon sa sinasabi nilang ChiNikki kami ‘yun ni Julie (Julie Anne San Jose) siguro si Kuya Bitoy na bahala dun, kung ano pa ‘yung mga gagawin niyang eksena para sa amin lahat. Na-e-excite kami sa mga darating na episodes.”

Although they have proven time and again that they are a rating powerhouse, Jake said that all the guys behind the show work hard to give their viewers only the best.

“Kahit papaano nabo-bother kasi maghahanap pa rin ‘yung kabila ng puwede itapat sa amin siyempre ganun. So kami, ginagawa din lang namin ‘yung dapat namin gawin para mapamahal sa mga tao.”
