'Pulang Araw' was named the National Winner in the Best Promo or Trailer category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024.

GMA Network's hit family drama Pulang Araw was named the National Winner in the Best Promo or Trailer category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024.

The trailer features the show's lead stars, including Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, and Alden Richards, with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo making a special appearance.

It was first released on June 10, 2024 to commemorate the 126th anniversary of Philippine Independence.

Set against the backdrop of World War II in the Philippines, Pulang Araw follows the intertwined lives of four childhood friends--Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). Dennis Trillo plays the main villain, Col. Yuta Saitoh, a Japanese imperial army officer intent on conquering the Philippines.

This award marks the second time this year that the series has received international recognition, following its recent nomination in the Best Soap/Telenovela category at the Venice TV Awards 2024.
