Roselle Monteverde on 'Regal Studio Presents': 'This is just the beginning'

Bagong mga kuwento bawat linggo ang hatid ng upcoming special anthology na Regal Studio Presents.

Bunga ito ng panibagong partnership sa pagitan ng mga tinitingalang institusyon sa telebisyon at pelikula, ang GMA Network at Regal Entertainment.

"It is actually exciting because we're going to embark on a new project together that is Regal Studio Presents. If you're really going to look at it, it is Mother Studio Presents, only this time it has a different name," pahayag ni First Vice President for Program Management Department Jose Mari "Joey" R. Abacan

Ang Mother Studio Presents ay ang monthly anthology na co-production ng GMA at Regal Entertainment na umere mula 1987 hanggang 1996.

"From Mother Studio Presents before, we have seen so many stories, so many stars that evolved. These are the stars na talagang matagal na matagal na. And now happy ako because the first people we will be working with again after a long hiatus of working with each other is going to be Ken Chan and Sanya Lopez," lahad ni Abacan.

Ayon naman kay Roselle Monteverde ng Regal Entertainment, ang Regal Studio Presents ay simula pa lang ng marami pang collaborations sa pagitan ng GMA at ng Regal.

"I'm very grateful that we're partners again with GMA. There's a lot of things to look forward to. This is just the beginning," aniya.

Tulad ni Abacan, confident din daw si Monteverde kina Ken Chan at Sanya Lopez, na bibida sa opening salvo ng Regal Studio Presents.

"We're so privileged to have as our pilot episode si Sanya Lopez and Ken Chan, who are really my dream actors sa GMA. Dream cast ko silang dalawa kasi ang ganda ng naging relationship namin and ang ganda ng naging result ng pelikula namin with them," paliwanag ni Monteverde.

Ang magsisilbing pilot episode ng anthology ay ang romantic-comedy na pinamagatang "That Thin Line Between." Gaganap dito si Sanya bilang online seller na at odds sa kanyang type A personality accountant neighbour, na gaganapan naman ni Ken. Magkakaroon ito ng primetime premiere sa September 11, 8:30 pm.

Susundan ito ng mermaid story na "Raya Sirena," tampok ang Kapuso teen stars na sina Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, at Bruce Roeland sa part two ng primetime premiere sa September 18, 8:30 pm.

Para sa ikatlong episode na "One Million Comments, Magjo-jowa na Ako," bibida ang real-life couple na sina Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos kasama si Manolo Pedrosa. Lilipat ito sa regular timeslot tuwing Linggo, 4:35 p.m. simula September 26.
