Versatile actor and content creator Mikael Daez considers season 2 of Running Man Philippines as an opportunity to reconnect, especially with a former co-star of his past sitcom.

The newest addition of the show Miguel Tanfelix previously worked with Mikael in the defunct comedy show Ismol Family, which ended its run in November 2016. Part of the hilarious cast were Carla Abellana and Ryan Agoncillo, who portrayed Majay and Jingo, respectively. Completing the funny group were Kevin Santos, Pekto, Natalia Moon, Marc Justine Alvarez, seasoned comedienne Carmi Martin, and Sparkle actress Bianca Umali.

During the April 24 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Mikael stated that catching up with Tan-Tan (Miguel's character in Ismol Family) after almost a decade felt good. He said, “Actually si Miguel nakasama ko 10 or nine years ago sa Ismol Family and ever since then, close kami nun, pero hindi na kami nagkita after nun. Ito 'yung next time na nagkita kami.

“Ayun, nakilala ko na siya and ang daming… catch up lang. Catch up lang nang bongga. Alam mo 'yun nine years later na catch up?"

Mikael added that it was a pleasant surprise to discover that while shooting Running Man Philippines, Miguel was also an adventurer like himself.

“Sobrang adventurer din siya at nakita ko rin 'yun sa sarili ko sa pagiging adventurous niya,” Kap Mikael added.

Running Man Philippines features a stellar list of Korean guests this season including Running Man “OG" runner Haha, Sandara Park, Nancy McDonie of Momoland and many more.

The fun run weekend begins May 11 and 12 at 7:15 p.m..
