Angelina Jolie hopes 'everyone to heal' as daughter Vivienne seeks to drop 'Pitt' —report
Angelina Jolie wants “everyone to heal” as four of her children seek to legally remove Pitt from their last names.
According to People, Angelina’s youngest daughter, Vivienne, filed a petition on July 21 to legally change her name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.
Court documents obtained by the publication listed the reason for the name change as “personal.”
Vivienne joins her siblings Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh, who have also sought to drop Pitt from their surnames.
A source close to Angelina told People that the actress has remained focused on moving forward.
“If people knew the whole truth, they would have more sympathy for the children and respect them,” the source said. “The fact they aren't speaking ill or sharing things publicly only shows their decency.”
The source added, “Angie hasn't been fighting and isn't angry. She just wants everyone to heal.”
Shiloh’s name change was granted in August 2024, while Zahara's and Maddox's petitions remain pending. Vivienne’s hearing is set for November. 2.
Angelina filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016 after being married for two years and in a relationship since 2005.
