Geoff Eigenmann helped cause Aljur-Kylie split

Last week, Kylie Padilla confirmed that she and actor Aljur Abrenica have already broken up (read full story here). In an interview with Heart Evangelista in StarTalk last Saturday, she shared that rumors linking her to her Adarna leading man Geoff Eigenmann contributed to the split.

“There were rumors of me having a third party. So syempre naka-apekto sa kanya yun. After that, nagulo na lahat,” Kylie admitted.

She did not deny that she found a special connection with Geoff because of their similarities. This caused others to misinterpret their closeness.

“Me and Geoff kasi, we’re so similar, kasi we came from (showbiz) royal families eh and we’re both middle children so talagang nag-click kami. Maybe people saw [something different]. Nilagyan talaga ng malisya,” she said.

When people started taking it the wrong way, she became uneasy so she stayed away from Geoff. That, however, urged her leading man to try to bridge the gap between them.

“After that, everyone was saying na ‘meron bang something?’ Awkward na para sa ‘kin kaya umiwas ako kay Geoff kaya umeffort siya. Kasi ang hirap na magka-love team kayo tapos may awkward moments,” she added.

This made her angry, more than anything, because her almost three-year relationship with Aljur was put to waste because of a mere rumor.

“Nagalit ako kasi lahat ng effort na ginawa namin, nasira for something na hindi naman totoo…Bakit kailangan ganun 'yung mangyari? Nasayang sa walang kwentang dahilan,” she declared.

Kylie admits that she still loves Aljur and it will take a while to change that. At these trying times, she’s resorting to prayer to make herself feel better.

“I’m turning to God na lang. Wala na kong ibang mapuntahan eh. Sometimes people are talking, wala akong naririnig. Nakatulala lang ako kasi wala eh, walang pumapasok eh. Ganun kasakit… Blurred na lahat, so 'yun na lang, faith in God,” she said.

Kylie also confessed that she didn’t greet Aljur when they saw each other in Sunday All Stars. “Hindi ko siya binati. It’s hard to be friends with someone you love. I mean, you’ll just fall in love again,” she disclosed.

Her parting shot in the interview with Heart was a message to her ex-boyfriend and first love. “Ang daming galit sa kanya ngayon and ang dami ding nagsasabi sa ‘kin na na-a-apektuhan talaga siya and I just wanna say na be strong. Lahat naman tayo nagkakamali. Everyone is imperfect, even me. This is so sad. 'Yun lang. Sana may natutunan ka sa nangyari. Ako, marami akong natutunan. Sana sa sususunod, alagaan na natin 'yung mga future relationships (natin) cause love is supposed to be precious, not painful,” she said.
