A simple and private wedding for power couple Heart and Chiz

Heart has been in show business since her teenage years and Sen. Chiz Escudero is a politician.
While both are public figures, they still intend to have a “very intimate, private” wedding.
“What’s sure is we want it very intimate, very private. Meron kaming isa(ng) (pagkakataon) na medyo far away kami from reality of our lives, that we can really stop time and enjoy the moment. And then we go back to Manila and celebrate with everybody,” she said, referring to a two-day celebration in an interview with co-host Butch Francisco on Startalk.
They haven’t finalized other details of their wedding yet, but they are considering February 14, Valentine’s Day, to be their big day. Feb. 14 is also Heart’s birthday and the reason her real name is Love Marie.
In a separate interview, Sen. Chiz clarified, “Biro ko lang ‘yun na isang okasyon na lang ‘yung birthday, ‘yung anniversary at ‘yung Valentines para isa na lang regalo. At saka para imposibleng makalimutan ‘yung anniversary. Wala pa, wala pang usapan na pinal (laughs).”
Heart clarified, “Definitely within the week malalaman natin ‘yung exact date. Within the week kasi kailangan na pag-usapan, kailangan na namin pag-usapan.”
Almost a week after her senator-boyfriend’s heartfelt proposal, it was only last night that Heart was beginning to grasp the reality that she is already engaged.
“First time ko na-meet ‘yung mga tao behind the wedding, wedding coordinator, photographer, ‘yung florist. So medyo nagsi-sink in na siya na ikakasal na nga ako,” she exclaimed.
Heart also shared they have yet to come up with their entourage.
“Kahapon naglistahan pa kami ng mga pangalan so syempre hirap na hirap ako kung sino ba pupunta, sino ba hindi. So hindi pa namin napa-finalize but definitely nandiyan si Lovi (Poe), si Alex (de Rossi), the usual,” she said.
Sen. Chiz’s twins will surely be part of their entourage as well. The senator’s daughter will be a flower girl, while his son will be the ring bearer.
The Kapuso actress and host also admitted she wishes to invite Sen. Miriam Santiago, who played cupid in their love story, to their wedding.
“Hopefully I get to talk to her this week and sana makapunta siya kasi syempre di naman porke’t magaling siya, agad-agad pwede na siyang you know to do things. So we’ll see, we’ll see,” she said, pertaining to Sen. Santiago’s recent victory over lung cancer.
While wedding preparations may give her a bit of a headache, Heart considers herself in so much love and bliss.
“Exciting, super exciting pero natatakot din ako parang it’s a different stage eh, different chapter sa buhay mo. Pero more than anything, I’m really the happiest girl now,” she said.
