Heart Evangelista on her parents: “Okay na kami”

The preparations for Heart Evangelista’s wedding on February 15 are now
in full swing.
Even her parents are involved in the preparations.
Does this mean that Heart’s parents now fully accept her upcoming marriage to Senator Chiz Escudero?
Last Thursday, Heart and Chiz personally paid a visit to GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon to ask him to be one of the principal sponsors in their wedding.
Senator Chiz said, “I’ve known him from before pa. And besides, we’re both lawyers so we have a lot to talk about.”
Heart added, “Of course, siyempre naman dahil inalagaan ako niyan and aside from that, of course they are friends. Tama lang naman na siya talaga ‘yung isa sa mga ninong namin.”
“Sabi niya, pinaglaban mo raw ako. Siguro naman tama ito at seryoso tayong dalawa,” quipped the senator.
Also among the couple’s chosen principal sponsors are Vic del Rosario of Viva Films, veteran actors Eddie Garcia and Susan Roces, as well as GMA’s very own Mel Tiangco.
“Mga 80 percent na ‘yung na-plano. Mga 18 percent pa lang ‘yung bayad,” laughed Senator Chiz.
Heart shared, “(Nasa) 2,000 (guests) na yata kami pero kailangan namin magbawas kasi imposibleng mangyari iyon. Ang gulo siguro noon.”
“Doon sa Balesin, kainan lang ‘yun kasi puro entourage at pamilya lang naman ‘yung nandoon. Ang tawag namin doon, kainan lang, hindi reception. ‘Yung sa Manila siguro ‘yung reception talaga,” said Senator Chiz.
Even Heart’s mother, Cecille Ongpauco, is helping with the preparations.
Heart said, “She was even offering to look for my shoes in the States kasi nahihirapan kaming maghanap ng shoes. Nag-e-effort siya, especially from her.”
“Ma-pride kasi ‘yung mommy ko, eh, so big deal iyon para sa akin.”
She added, “Sinabi lang niya na ‘I’m happy that you’re happy.’ That’s what she told me and because of that, I am incandescently happy.”
Heart also gets along with her father, Rey Ongpauco.
She said, “Daddy ko, ang sabi niya sa akin, gusto lang niya akong makita almost everyday bago ako ikasal, so almost everyday kaming nagkikita.”
“Everyday naman, nagre-report ako sa Instagram ng aking mga update, but kung hindi mapilit, kung hindi namin maayos ngayon, we have a lifetime to fix things. What’s important is nandoon na, okay na kami,” stated Heart.
