“Hindi ko naman intensyon na maging ganoon ang kalalabasan ng kagagahan ko” – Paolo Ballesteros

The makeup transformations of Paolo Ballesteros have been the toast of the several international media outlets for the past weeks.

Some of those that became impressed by Paolo’s skills were the Cosmopolitan US Magazine, MTV, Buzzfeed, Daily Mail, and E! News.

“Nakakagulat, kasi hindi ko naman intensyon na maging ganoon ang kalalabasan ng mga kagagahan ko sa pagme-makeup,” Paolo told Startalk, laughing.

He said he only practised often at home with makeup just in case he needs to become another character in a production number in Eat Bulaga.

“Nakakatuwa rin at ang daming Pinoy na nagko-comment din, mga dabarkads natin sa ibang bansa,” he said, turning a bit serious.

Paolo’s growing list of makeup transformations include Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Julia Roberts and even the late Princess Diana.

Now many programs in the US, like TMZ, want to interview him.

“Okay naman kung ganoon nga ang mangyayari. Why not?” he said.

Paolo said one of the hardest celebrities he copied was Beyonce.

He said almost every other night for three weeks, he practised on doing Beyonce but could not quite get it because the singer did not have a prominent facial feature that he could focus on.

He explained that unlike Angelina Jolie, whose prominent feature is her lips, Beyonce’s features are soft.

“Sa mga aspiring na gagawa ng makeup transformation, kaya nyo rin ‘yan. Kasi ako nga kinaya ko e. Di naman ako talaga makeup artist. So ganoon lang, tiyaga,” Paolo said. - RB
